Hello! 👋🏻

My name is Ramona Haberecht and my artist name is „mochimona“. Mochi comes from my favourite japanese snacks called mochi and my nickname, „mona“. 

I worked twelve years as a kindergarten teacher, two years at the health department and one year in an office before I decided I wanted to build on my skills as a kindergarten teacher and enrolled in game design with focus on education, media pedagogoy, game studies and game design.

I work as a freelance illustrator since 2023, but started out drawing in 2017 after my mum died of cancer. I promised her on her death bed I would pursue my creativity. My first group exhibition and my biggest piece „The Witch In The Moon“ is a tribute to my mother.

I like to play video games, read, hike, cycle or go for a run and meet up with friends. My biggest passion is drawing, though.
